I'm very excited to release a video I shot a while back with Alex Shanahan of Unit 202 Productions. He approached me after hanging out at my weekly bar gig asking if I'd be interested in doing a video for a series he was working on.
The idea is called "one camera, one take" - so that's exactly what we did. We met on 38th street the following afternoon, and after testing the sound to make sure my guitar and vocals were picked up well enough by the boom mic, I sang my original song "Next Mistake" (co-written by Dan Orlando [ASCAP] ) once and we were done.
This was such a fun experience that I still think about often. I hope to be able to do more projects like this in the future!
The "Next Mistake" video will be released THIS Thursday - February 6!
So 100 days are officially up and I made it through! I've spent so much time in the past couple of years just playing paying gigs and going through the motions and this Tune Train Challenge really helped me to refocus on my own music.
I have been writing more than ever and I'm really excited to get some of them recorded and start playing them out!
Can't wait to share with you all what I've put so much of myself into :)
I'm currently on day 47/100 of a 100 day challenge to "work on my craft" for at least 30 minutes a day.
A challenge set forth by fellow musician/artist/friend Jenn Mundia (check her out at www.jennmundia.com) , I have been spending at LEAST 30 minutes a day either practicing, learning new tunes, writing, or performing music.
I have been posting on my Instagram story a short clip/photo of what I do each day - so follow me and follow my journey there!
